Summer Karate Camp 2010

Free uniform will be provided for students attending 5 days a week for 1 month. Member and non-member students are accepted ages 5 years old and up.
$75.00 discount for members that are full time campers.
Beginning date June 9th to mid August 21st.
- KEMPO JUJUTSU MARTIAL ARTS DOES NOT ISSUE TAX STATEMENTS FOR CAMP.
- Please pay for camp sessions 1 week prior to the start date.
- Students may wear sandals to the Academy but need to bring proper shoes and socks for activities.
- Need a clean pair of running shoes for inside the Academy.
- For the safety of our students there is no pick up or drop off in front of the door, you need to park in a parking lane.
- Parents must come upstairs to pick up their child/children under 12 years of age. They are not allowed to go downstairs without a parent present.
- Required everyday:
Shoes & socks
Sunblock
Towel
Extra shirt and shorts if necessary.
Reading book
- Please leave games and toys at home.
- Outside activities
Field trips
Field trips will be extra depending on the venue and you will need to send a sack lunch. If you need us to prepare a lunch we must have 1 week advance notice to have them prepared by the Café downstairs. We also will have lunches a local Mexican and will walk to a Chinese resturant.
Wicker park – water park.
Fishing – local ponds.
Additional trips to Chicago are available with additional fee for train, taxi and whatever activity we choose to attend. Students will choose and if all are in agreement and with parent’s permission we will go on train ride field trips.

Students menu will include fresh lunches each day.
A monthly lunch calendar is provided, students will be allowed with parent’s permission to substitute items in the café downstairs for what ever additional cost the item may be.
Daily activities
Movie – followed by discussion of values used by the characters.
Reading – summer homework.
Checkers, Chess, Backgammon – learning the game and strategies.

Daily cardio workout will also include a combination of:

Weapons training – archery, sticks, staff, sword, stars
Wooden board breaking
Park playground
volleyball, baseball, football, basketball, soccer, frisbee, dodge ball, etc.
Camp hours
8:00 am to 6:00 pm
Early drop off & pick up (6:30 a.m. to 8:00 a.m.)
Extra per day $2 before 8:00 am
Extra per day $2 after 6:00 pm
Academy rules must be followed in order to attend camp-space is limited.
Academy members will get first come, first serve priority.
Full time campers will get preference over part time campers.
